Dr. K. Hanumanthu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College, Odalarevu, Konaseema District, Andhra Pradesh, India. He obtained his B. Tech and M. Tech degrees from JNTU-Anantapur University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He received his Ph.D. from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India, as a full-time research scholar. With over ten years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, he has made significant contributions to academia and research. He has published nine research papers in national and international publications and has been granted one patent. Additionally, he has successfully guided three postgraduate students in their research work. His expertise lies in civil engineering, structural analysis, and material sciences, and he continues to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in his field through teaching, research, and innovation.

Research Interests:

  • Numerical and analytical modelling of moisture transport in porous building materials, Durability analysis based on freeze-thaw cycles, Statistical techniques for experimentation, Characterization of building materials including stone, brick, mortar and concrete, Optimum design and sustainable concrete production.
